Pre-Concentrators

Consulmet has designed, built, operated and maintained pre-concentrators for base and precious metals, including antimony, chromite and ferrochrome, copper, gold, lead, lithium, manganese, nickel, tin, tungsten and zinc. Our pre-concentrators incorporate our core technologies of Dense Media Separation (DMS) plants and spiral circuits.

All plants are offered on a turnkey, EPC, or BOOM/T basis.

Gold, Silver & Copper Plants

Consulmet can design and build a flowsheet to process alluvial, oxide and sulphide deposits. Our key technologies include:

  • Crushing and milling circuits

  • Gravity recovery circuits

  • Carbon-in-leach (CIL) and carbon-in-pulp (CIP) processes

  • CCD and flotation circuits

  • Elution and SX-EW circuits.

Iron Ore Beneficiation Plants

Consulmet has considerable expertise in the design and operation of beneficiation plants for hematite and magnetite ores in Australia and Africa. We can design and build a process flowsheet to ensure maximum upgrade of your iron ore.

Flotation Plants

Consulmet has designed and built flotation circuits for platinum (PGMs), magnetite, chromite, gold and copper plants.

Spiral Circuits

Consulmet has developed in-house standard designs for single and multi-stage spiral circuits (currently up to seven stages). We have designed and built spiral plants for iron ore, coal, copper, mineral sands, chromite and ferrochrome. Plants are available in various formats up to 500 tph.

  • Kamfundwa Copper, DRC - Refurbishment of a 300 tph copper pre-concentrator (including crushing and screening, DMS module and spiral circuit for fines recovery) for Gécamines

  • Gamsberg, South Africa - Lead & zinc flotation plant expansion for Vedanta.

  • Lithium - FEED study for the LSTK design and construction of a 600 tph lithium spodumene pre-concentrator, including 400 tph two-stage (coarse & fines) DMS circuit and mica removal circuit.

2019

Munali, Zambia - Design and construction of a nickel pre-concentrator plant (including 100 tph DMS module and ancillaries) for Consolidated Nickel Mines and CE Mining.

Hernic, South Africa - Design and construction of a 85 tph chromite and platinum (PGM) flotation plant for Jubilee Metals.

  • Thaba Mine, South Africa - Design and construction of a 140 tph chromite beneficiation plant (including a seven-stage spiral circuit) for Cronimet.

  • ESIM Iron Ore, South Africa - Design and construction of a 2 Mtpa iron ore (magnetite) concentrate plant for ESIM.

  • Comidé Copper Concentrator, DRC - Design and construction of 300 tph copper concentrator (elutriation and spiral plant) for ENRC.

  • Kamfundwa Copper, DRC - 300 tph copper pre-concentrator (including crushing and screening, DMS module and spiral circuit for fines recovery) for Gécamines.

  • Frances Creek, Northern Territory - Design and construction of a 130 tph iron ore (haematite) beneficiation plant (including 50 tph DMS and 35 tph spiral modules) for Territory Iron.
