Non-Process Infrastructure

Non-process infrastructure is critical to any mining operation.  At Consulmet, we have the expertise and capabilities to design and construct the non-process infrastructure required for your process plant.  We take a holistic view of a project, ensuring that all aspects, from utilities and communications to safety and environmental management, are accounted for in the design.  We aim to deliver supporting infrastructure that allows efficient and safe operations and contributes to the overall success of your project.

Consulmet can provide all non-process infrastructure, including:

• Utilities: This includes electricity for powering machinery and lighting, potable water, and waste disposal systems.  We can supply a standalone power plant (diesel or hybrid) or connect to an HV line.

• Site Buildings & Accommodation Camp: Depending on the site's remoteness, this can include a full construction and operations camp complete with individual living quarters, canteens, recreational facilities, and office spaces for workers and management staff.

• Storage: Warehouses and other storage facilities for storing raw materials, finished products, spare parts, and other necessary supplies.

• Workshops & Maintenance Facilities: For repairing and maintaining heavy mine vehicles, light vehicles, and plant and mobile equipment. 

• Communications: To ensure effective communication within the plant and with external stakeholders, we can provide a complete telecommunications solution, including remote telemetry, mobile telephone towers, internet access, and radio systems.

• Safety & Emergency Facilities: These might include first aid centres, fire fighting equipment, and evacuation facilities.

• Environmental Management Systems: Such as waste management and disposal, water treatment facilities, and noise management.

• Security Infrastructure: Including fences, gates, CCTV, and other security measures to protect the site and its assets.

• Access Roads: For transporting materials, workers, and equipment to and from the site.  These need to be designed to accommodate heavy construction vehicles and machinery.
